Afolux POS systems are available with a choice of 12.1 inch or 15 inch touch screens.
They are suitable for use in almost all environments, as they are certified IP64 splashproof and dustproof and have vibration protected disk drives making them robust enough to be used on mobile kiosks and vans as well as in traditional retail and hospitality environments.
They are designed to be fan-less which increases their inherent reliability and ensures quiet operation. Wireless networking is superior thanks to the highly efficient integrated PIFA antenna.
A full range of peripherals is available including cash drawer, VFD customer display, magnetic card reader, smart card reader, ibutton, barcode reader, thermal receipt printer.
Flexible Power Mode gives the ability to choose AT or ATX mode to best suit your environment. AT mode is used where you have several PCs that you want to switch off from a central plug, when the power is reconnected the PC will automatically start. In ATX mode the internal power management features will put the PC in standby mode when not in use this can lead to significant power savings and is popular in many retail EPOS environments. In this mode the PC can also be turned on or off remotely via the network.
The high brightness display enables this POS system to be usable even in strong sunlight. As you would expect with such a flexible system it can be ordered with several different mounting options including POS stand, desktop stand, wall-mounting, or panel-mounting.
They run Windows CE or Windows XPembedded and come with a software programmable watchdog timer which can be used to generate an automatic reboot in order to minimise downtime if the system hangs.
